MobBill announces exhibition intentions at Mobile World Congress

Posted on 3rd February 2017

Leading mobile carrier payments aggregator, MobBill, today announced that they would be investing heavily in the coming 2017 Mobile World Congress held at the Fira de Barcelona this March.

“MobBill has quickly become the default payment aggregator for digital content providers seeking access to take direct carrier billing payments in emerging markets, and in particular India where we are among the top 3 VAS partners by revenue for Vodafone India.

Taking the decision to invest in such an predigious show as MWC was a simple decision considering the ability we will have to showcase our billing platform to digital content providers who are actively seekign new paymnt routes to market” Ben Keirle – CEO said.

MobBill will be unveiling a host of new products and services at the exhibition including:

1. More countries where DCB is supported.

MobBill will be showcasing to its existing and new partners the ability to take payments in Indonesia, Malaysia, Cambodia and the UK.

“These new countries are where we see the demand both from merchants seeking new markets but also from consumers where economic growth is far exceeding expectations.

These new countries come in addition to the 1.3bn customers covered by direct connections it holds in India and Switzerland and will push us beyond the 2bn reachable market in countries where DCB far outweighs any other forms of online payment medium”.

2. MobBill Insight

“Compliance is 70% of any DCB aggregator business these days. Long gone are the days where you provide the billing pipe and move on – MNO’s require that certain KPI’s are met in order for their customers to be billed using this method.

MobBill Insight shows details statistics at all elvels for both merchant and MNO such as monitoring:

  • billing failures and reasons
  • churn and churn to activation rates
  • complaint to activation ratios
  • complicated ARPU calculations
  • secondary opt in customisation and hosting
  • conversion data at OS, browser

All of this is available at granular level such as traffic source ID from a given merchant on a given carrier at a given time of day.

These controls allow both the merchant to see how they are performing and for the MNO’s to decide what KPI levels they should be setting in a market.”

MobBill will be offering live demo’s of its user interface at the exhibition.
